The days of dealing with a non-air conditioned Expo Building at the Madison County Fair may soon be over.  The hospital in Highland has been torn down, so their air conditioning unit is going to be re-purposed at the fairgrounds, which is just a couple of miles away.  The building is large enough to host a variety of events, but is too hot to do so comfortably without air conditioning.

The Madison County Fair Board President Amy Rogier says she hopes the building will be a busier place in 2014 with the addition of the AC.

She says they will be installing the equipment soon, after a contractor is picked to install it at the May 21 board meeting.  If you would like to submit a bid for the installation, you call the fair at 654-6656, or follow the e-mail link below and put “Air Conditioning” in the subject line.
