After just two months on the job, the manager of the Du Quoin state fair has been placed on leave while state police investigate allegations of misconduct.  Shannon Woodworth's attorney says he's been directed not to discuss the matter publicly, but the Du Quoin "Evening Call" reports the investigation involves a dispute between Woodworth and another fair employee.

Agriculture Department spokesman Jeff Squibb said in an email that the department "has no tolerance for employee misconduct and will act accordingly following the investigation."  Woodworth, a long-time fair employee, was named in February to take over for John Rednour Jr., who stepped down to become chairman of the Du Quoin State Bank.
