All of the gubernatorial candidates have been criss-crossing Illinois, looking for votes as the spring Primary Election draws near.  State Senator Bill Brady of Bloomington is seeking the Republican nod, and stopped by the Z-1570 studios on Friday.  He says there are economic challenges facing the whole state, and some that are unique to border communities like the Riverbend.

He says the higher taxes on gas, and cigarettes drive many people across the state’s border.

He says if he were elected governor, Downnstate communities would have a greater voice, saying most Chicago politicians don’t understand and don’t care what happens in the rest of the state.
