A Riverbend attorney is now in the newspaper business. John Simmons, Chairman of the Simmons Firm and Alton Steel, has added Today's Advantage to his portfolio. He brings with him a number of former key executives at The Telegraph, including its most recent editor and advertising director.
Today's Advantage was started in 1986 by former Telegraph employees Sharon McRoy and Jim Seibold. Eric McRoy moves from General Manager to Vice President with the change in ownership. He says Dan Brannan will be a nice addition to what will be an increased focus on news reporting.

Joining Brannan at Today's Advantage will be former Telegraph Advertising Director Johnny Aguirre, former Telegraph Advertising Representative Pat Taulbee and former Telegraph Circulation Director Barbara Horstman. Neither man gave a forecast for what they hope to see out of this new venture over the next year.
