You are being reminded to leave baby birds and other wildlife alone.  This warning is from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.  It’s best to let nature run its course when it comes to raising little ones, says DNR Spokesman Chris Young.

He says that applies to all animals including baby raccoons, rabbits and birds.

Young says fawn will also appear to be alone, but their mother is usually close by and will appear when you leave.  He reminds it is illegal to keep wild animals as pets.
