Paul Schwalb

Paul Robert Schwalb, 52, of Edwardsville, IL passed away at 3:41 am on May 2, 2016 at Greer’s Ferry, Arkansas. He was born November 13, 1963 in Highland, IL.  The son of the late Robert and Marian Schwalb.  Paul is survived by his wife, Jennifer who is the love of his life, whom he married on March 13, 2013, and her children Annie and William, and his two sons Nick Schwalb and John (Tiffany) Schwalb.

Also surviving are his sister, Joan (Kim) Ketcham; nephew, Kerry (Jessie) Ketcham; and children, Kylie and Koy, Katie (Justin) Chambers; sister, Rhonda Schwalb; and nephew, Logan Schwalb; brother-in-law, Bobbie (Mandy) Wright; sister-in-law, Amanda Wright; and niece Mariah.

In addition are step-mother, Nancy Schwalb; step-brother, Brian Cox and family; step-sister, Alyssa Maxwell and family; and half-brother Blair A. Schwalb and family.

Paul worked alongside his father at Modern Wholesale Supply and manager at Crescent Parts in Pontoon Beach, Illinois. 

When not at work, Paul enjoyed fishing with friends, time with family and hunting for deer and turkey with his sons John and Nick.  Paul also loved spending time with family, having fish fries, attending Annie’s volleyball and basketball games; William’s hockey games; scuba diving and deep sea fishing in Aruba with his wife, Jennifer; and carpentry.  He also made his own fishing lures which allowed him to catch several trophy fish over the years. 

He is part owner of the Devil’s Fork Resort Association in Greer’s Ferry, Arkansas where he guided many family members and friends fishing.  Paul always had a big heart, great advice, a helping hand, and will be greatly missed by all. 

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville.  The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016, at the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Amiri officiating. The family request memorials to the Paul Schwalb Family Memorial Fund at the Bank of Edwardsville. Condolences may be expressed online at webefunealhome.com.
