Bethalto Fire Chief Steps Down Bethalto’s fire chief, who was also the zoning administrator, has stepped down and an acting fire chief was appointed at the monthly Bethalto Village Board meeting last night.  A new zoning administrator was also appointed and a new trash pickup schedule was approved.  Among other reports the treasurer gave an update on some financial issues addressed at the last board meeting.
