2026 Diabetes Symposium - Diabetes Education Program

The bi-annual diabetes symposium is a large educational event held by the SIUE School of Pharmacy, offering 1-on-1 patient counseling with a healthcare professional, A1c testing for those living with diabetes, insurance education, OTC education, diabetic foot inspections, blood pressure checks, depression screening, and other health screenings. At this event, a free lunch is provided, along with four options for speaker sessions, including educational talks on GLP-1s, diet, signs and risks of hypoglycemia, and what to do, as well as diabetes technology. At the end of the day, a vendor fair will take place, where companies can educate patients about their products/services to aid in the management of diabetes.

This event is aimed towards anyone living with diabetes, healthcare professionals, supporting friends/family of those living with diabetes, and anyone who is interested in learning more. 

This entire event is FREE of charge, and we are hopeful to make a difference in the lives of those who join us. We hope to see you there!
