On Friday, December 17, two broadcasting students from Lewis and Clark Community College will begin broadcasting for 89.9 consecutive hours on WLCA 89.9 FM. The purpose of the marathon broadcast is to raise money for the Boys' and Girls' Club of Alton. A large portion of the money raised will be used to take 50 kids from the club on a shopping spree. These kids are selected based on the work that they have put into their school work and club activities. The remainder of the funds that are raised will go into the Alton Boys� and Girls' Club's general fund and will be used to help aid them in the valuable services that they provide. Lewis and Clark Community College radio broadcasting students have been raising money for the Boys� and Girls� Club of Alton for 18 years now.
