Illinois upset # 18 Minnesota, 57-53 on the road Sunday in Big Ten Basketball. Tyler Griffey led the Illini with 16 points including four three-pointers. D.J. Richardson added 13 points with three three-pointers in the game. The Fighting Illini hit 11 three’s in all going 11-for-23 (48%) from the three-point line.
Illinois: 17-and-8 (4-7 in the Big Ten)
Minnesota: 17-and-7 (5-6 in the conference)
Illinois returns home to play Purdue on Wednesday night.
