Jake Allen made 51 saves and Joel Edmundson scored in overtime as the Blues outlasted the Minnesota Wild, 2-1 in St. Paul last night (Wednesday). The Blues now lead the best of seven first round playoff series, 1-0. Minnesota outshot St. Louis, 52-26.
St. Louis goalie Jake Allen made 51 saves in the win. The Blues got a 2nd period goal from Vladimir Sobotka. Minnesota tied the game at 1 on a Zach Parise goal with 22.7 seconds left in regulation. Then Edmundson won it with a goal at 17:48 of OT.
