Sharon Kay Nessl, 77, of Gillespie, IL, died at St. Francis Hospital, Litchfield, IL on Sunday, March 31, 2024. She was born March 23, 1947, in Alton, IL to Leonard Garrett & Florence Lorraine Davis Garrett Ussery. She married Roger G. Nessl on December 31, 1966 in Bunker Hill, IL. She worked at Walmart. Sharon enjoyed doing crafts, helping plan parties, riding down the river road and she loved her snow babies. She is survived by her spouse, Roger Nessl of Gillespie, IL, children, Travis (significant other, Vickie Watson) Nessl of Gillespie, IL, Melinda (Scott) Roeske of Gillespie, IL, grandchildren, Sebastian Nessl, Blaine Nessl, Zachary Roeske, Trinity Roeske, Ryley Nessl, sister, Jaylene Knapp of Mt. Olive, IL and aunt, Betty Tremblay of Benld, IL. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Curt Garrett, sister, Janie Marie Ussery, nieces, Shelly Lea, Lacey Noel. Friends may call on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm where a memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm.
