Ruth Haushalter

KENTON,OHIO-  Ruth A. (Plummer) Haushalter, 72, formerly of Jersey County, IL., died at 9:31 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.She was born in Rosedale, Il. on Dec. 24, 1941, and was the daughter of the late Emuel & Gladys (Suddeth) PlummerRuth graduated in 1959 from Jersey Community High School, and earned a PHT (Putting Hubby Through) degree from the University of Rolla School of Mines and Metallurgy in 1962.  She became President of Robinson Fin Machines in 1983 and worked with her husband to build a business in the heat transfer industry.  After the death of her husband, she continued along with her three children, eventually running a three generation company when her granddaughter, Cassandra joined the firm.  Ruth, and her daughter, Sherri, received the Governors award for Women in Manufacturing in 2003.She married Frederick Haushalter on July 31, 1959 in Jerseyville, and together they shared nearly 34 years together, raising their three children and building a wonderful life and a successful business together, until his death on May 24, 1993.She later gained and friend and companion in Jack E. Carle of Russells Point, Ohio.Surviving are her children & their spouses, Sheryl Ann & Todd Sopher of Findlay, Ohio, Mark Frederick and Joan Haushalter of Bellefontaine, Ohio, and David Leo & Nikki Haushalter of Kenton, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Maxwell David Haushalter, Alexandra Marie Haushalter, Jessica Lauren Haushalter, Alexa Lea Haushalter, Cassandra Ann (Andrew Giles) Seeley, Aubrey Marie (Jeremy Yoder) Sopher, Brittany Nichole (Christopher) LaFountain, and Brett Alen (Bryanna) Sopher; nine great grandchildren; and a brother & sister in law, Kenneth & Carolyn Plummer of Grafton, along with nieces,nephews, and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Leo EmuelPlummer and Clayton William Plummer who passed away the day before Ruth.Visitation will be held  from 1 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Price Funeral Home in Kenton, Ohio.A Combined Visitation for Ruth and her brother, will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 10 a.m, until time of funeral services at 1 p.m., at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.  Rev. Barbara Alley will officiate.She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at the Fieldon Cemetery.
