Patrick F. Vonnahman, 63, died at 3:35 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at his home. Born December 21, 1949 in Grand Rapids, MI, he was the son of Dr. Francis H. “Frank” Vonnahman of Godfrey and the late Patricia A. (Poterack) Vonnahman. Patrick was an Eagle Scout and served in the U.S. Army for two years. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville with a degree in fine arts. He had worked at Alton Memorial Hospital and the Alton Dental Lab. Along with his father, he is survived by a brother, Michael H. Vonnahman of Springfield, IL, a sister, Barbara Ann Moore (Richard) of Republic of Panama, and a nephew, Tyler Vonnahman of Springfield, IL. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Father Steve Pohlman will officiate. Burial will be private.
