Pamela Jaco

Pamela “Pam” S. Jaco, 57, passed away at 1:30 am Thursday, November 5, 2015 at her home under the care of her family and friends.   

She was born on October 13, 1958 in Granite City, IL, the daughter of James L. and Dorothy M. (Hopper) Gilreath.  

She married Paul Jaco on October 27, 2000 in Edwardsville.  He survives.   

Pam was a homemaker and a member of the Wanda Methodist Church. She enjoyed life, reading, music, large gatherings, barbeques, fish frys and making popcorn with her nieces and nephews. Most all she loved being with her family.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her mother, Dorothy Gilreath of Hartford; a son, Paul M. Scudder and Kendy Jones of St. Joseph, MO; two step children, Jason and Melissa Jaco of Highland, IL and Jess and Dax Gonzales of Alton. Eight grandchildren, Jackson, Jordan, Colin, Emma, Rory, Mason, Paxton and Hudson. Two sisters, Deborah N. Tatman, Rhonda and Michael Bowman of Hartford. As well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, special friends and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her father.   

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Friday, November 6, 2015 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Wanda Methodist Church with Pastor Gerald Savage officiating.

Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana. 

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
