Millie Ann Schumann, 80, passed away at 2:35 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at her home in Kampsville.Millie was born on August 16, 1936 in Kampsville, IL, the daughter of the late Otto “OJ” and Mildred (Elledge) Retzer.She married Ted “Redeye” Schumann on January 8, 1955 in Virginia, IL. He survives.Millie worked for the Illinois Department of Human Services and for the Calhoun News Herald. She was also the owner/operator with her husband Ted, of the Schumann Conoco Gas Station for 20 years. She was the Kampsville Village Clerk for many years. She was a member of St. Anselm’s Catholic Church in Kampsville.Survivors include her husband Ted Schumann of Kampsville; two daughters Beverly (Terrill) Mosbarger of Kampsville and Becky (Mike) Weber of Metamora, IL and one son Ted Jr. “Rusty” (Sonya) Schumann of Newport, North Carolina; one sister, Betty (Paul) McGinnis of Hardin and one brother, Otto F. (Linda) Retzer. 11 grandchildren, Chance, Chet, Mandy, Andrew, John, Sarah, Anne Marie, Mary Catherine, Reed, Ross, and Rowe; and 9 great grandchildren.Millie was preceded in death by her parents.Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm am on Thursday, February 23, 2017, with a prayer service beginning at 5pm at Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin, IL.Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am Friday, February 24, 2017, at St. Anslem’s Catholic Church in Kampsville, Fr. Roberts will be officiating.Interment will follow at St. Anslem’s Cemetery in Kampsville.Memorials may be made to Blessings Hospice and Village of Kampsville Christmas Party for kids.Gress, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin is charge of the arrangements.
