Mary Louise Fewell, 84, of Hartford, IL, died at 5:11 p.m. Wed. Feb. 26, 2014 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
She was born Mar. 16, 1929 in Chesterfield, IL to the late Cloyd Harlan & Mary Alice (Naylor) Sanders.
On Apr. 1, 1949, she and William Marion Fewell were married in Hartford. He survives in Hartford.
Mary was a wife, mother and homemaker and attended 1st Baptist Church in Hartford and was a past member of the Eastern Star. Along with her husband, she was the co-owner & bookkeeper for Fewell Construction Co. She enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint and passing her knowledge and abilities on to her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 64 years, she is survived by: 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha Kay & Edward Buckshot of Godfrey, IL and Linda Diane & Steven Amizich of O’Fallon, IL, 8 grandchildren, Michelle Buckshot, Amy (Darrin) Goode, Melinda (Douglas) Matzenbacher, Jeremy Edward (Shannon) Buckshot, Lindsay Fewell, Laura Fewell, Emily (John Seaber) Amizich and Nick Amizich and 10 great-grandchildren, Kyla, Tiffany, Kole, Katelyn, Joshua, David, Brayden, Mila, Aleigha & Joey and a brother, Keith Sanders of Godfrey.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William Eugene Fewell and a brother, Charles Sanders.
Visitations will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Mon. Mar. 3, 2014 at Paynic Home for Funerals and will continue Tues. Mar. 4, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or 1st Baptist Church of Hartford.
