Mary Grace “Gracy” Mossman, age 82, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at St. Anthony Health Center in Alton.
She was born July 7, 1932, the daughter of Sam and Rose (Romano) Dipiazzo. She married Roy Mossman on August 27, 1955, in Alton, and he survives.
Gracy loved crafts, and spent her time sewing and crocheting. She and Roy traveled and camped together often. She was a Den Mother with the local Boy Scouts for several years. Gracy was a member of Friends and Neighbors group. She was the Secretary at St. Ambrose Catholic Church for many years, and known for being faithful to her church and attending regularly.
In addition to her husband, Roy; she is survived by three children and their spouses, Michael Mossman of Columbia, MO, Mitch and Becky Mossman of Alton, and Marilee and Kenny Webb of Bethalto; a brother and his wife, Anthony and Dottie Dipiazzo of Godfrey; and six grandchildren, Andrew Mossman, Alexander Mossman, Lindsey Webb, Jacob Webb, Jeremy Jeffreys, Ryan Jeffreys; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 5, 2015, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, from 9:00 am until the time of Memorial Mass at 11:00 am, with Father Steven Pohlman officiating.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to St. Ambrose Parish and School.
