Mary Turner-Barnes

Mary Ann Turner-Barnes of Moraine, Ohio, departed this life on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Kettering Memorial Hospital in Kettering, Ohio. She was born on July 25, 1950, in Alton, the daughter of Sidney and Zola Turner both preceded her in death. Also, preceding her in death her oldest daughter Tracy Y. Jolliff, son in-law Robert (Nooney) Jolliff, sister Tonetta (Tony) Williams and son-in law Norvell Thomas . Mary was employed by Owen and Golden Corral before relocating to the state of California. She married her loving and caring husband Edward L. Barnes Jr. (he survives). She was a historian of her family and was loved by many. In addition to her husband of 14 years she is survived by two daughters, Kimberly (Sjohn) Williamson of Portland, Oregon; NiKeyla Thomas of Alton, IL; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Her siblings William C. Ward (Verna) of Memphis,TN, Yolanda Simms (Lloyd) of Florissant, MO, Sidney Turner III of Moraine, OH, LaVern Watson, Sandra Stampley, Shirley Smith, Berintha (Faye) Simms all from Alton, nieces, nephews, and friends.
