Marilyn Frances Williams, 81, of Gillespie, IL., died at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, IL., on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 9:20 pm. She was born March 19, 1943, in Gillespie, IL to Robert M. Reid & Elizabeth Hendren Reid. She was a registered nurse for home health. Marilyn was a graduate of St. John's Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis. She loved science, animals especially dogs and animal shows on TV. She is survived by her daughter, Tracey (Kevin) Kreipe of Thayer, IL, grandchildren, Elizabeth (Bennett) Smith, Nolan (Zoe) Kreipe, Colin Kreipe, great-grandchild, Elliott Smith and special friend, Jack Matlack. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robert, James, William and John.
Friends may call on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 11:00 am.
