Marilyn Heffron Campagna, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home in Leander, Texas on February 21, 2024.

Marilyn was a wonderful wife, mother and friend.  She was actively involved in church and her children’s and grandchildren’s school and activities.  Marilyn created beautiful art, was an avid reader and was passionate about politics.  Marilyn loved to laugh and had that effect on those around her. She made a lasting impression on everyone she met.  She was loved by many.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Campagna, her parents, Thomas and Lucille Heffron, her sisters Wilma Ruyle and Lin Heffron, and her grand-daughter, Alexis Hawkins.  She is survived by her daughters, Angela (Mike) Goska, Georgia (Robert) Hawkins and Kate Dunlap; grandchildren Andrew (Tori) Goska, Adam (Megan) Goska, Alex Goska, Ezra Hawkins, Hannah Hawkins, Delaney (Tomas) Miller, Jesse Miller and Colton Miller; and her siblings Melvin Heffron and Sue Lutes.

Marilyn’s life will be celebrated at Gent Funeral Home in Alton with a prayer service at 3:30 pm on Friday, March 15, 2024 followed by visitation from 4:00-7:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 10:30 a.m.  at Gent Funeral Home.   Marilyn will be interred next to her husband, Don at St. Joseph Cemetery, Alton.
