Louis L. Spano, 70, of Wood River passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at his home. He was born December 26, 1945 in Alton. He married Nancy Hinson August 7, 1971 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Wood River. Louis was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He retired from Shell Oil Company in 2004, where he worked as an electrician.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Spano of Wood River; two daughters, Lisa (Jeff) Wood, Bellevue, WA and Tara (Kostas) Gavardinas, Indianapolis, IN; three grandchildren, Olivia and Vivian Wood and Nadia Gavardinas and a brother, Leo (Norma) Spano in Wood River.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jasper Spano.
