Lois Cameron

Lois I. Cameron, 90 of Shipman, died at 12:05 am on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Jerseyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born to the late Leonard E. & Clarice I. (Lynch) Travers in Shipman, Illinois on February 14, 1926.

Lois worked as a grocery store clerk at multiple stores.  She was named Miss A&P  in Louisiana.

After attending a Methodist Youth Fellowship meeting, she met her husband Rollo J. Cameron.  They wed on May 8, 1946 in Shipman.  Rollo died on November 19, 1997.

Survivors include 3 daughters and  son in law; Lois Ann & John Doren of Collinsville, IL., Carla Jane Dierking of Bethalto, Sharon McHughs of Shipman, 1 son and daughter in law; Jack & Tessa Cameron of Shipman, IL., 2 sisters; Helen Cameron of Shipman, Illinois, Geraldine Wright of Livermore, CA., 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren

Besides her parents and husband, 1 sister; Elsie Rose Cameron, 1 brother; Leonard "Bill" Travers, 1 son in law; Bob McHughs

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Shipman

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home is Shipman

Pastors Wilber Cain and Mark Clifft will officiate.

Burial will be in Shipman Cemetery

Memorials may be made to the Charity Christian Center
