Julie Geddes Crivello, 83, died peacefully at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born May 3, 1933 in St. Louis, MO, she was the son of Robert P. and Alice (Norton) Geddes. She married Robert J. Crivello on September 1, 1956 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2012. Mrs. Crivello was a long standing member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church where she served on the Altar Society and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a secretary for the Alton School District retiring after over 30 years of service. Surviving are four children, Richard (Monica) Crivello of Alton, Mary Ann (Michael) Tickner of Godfrey, Nancy (Ted) Rynders of O’Fallon, MO and Daniel (Lynn) Crivello of Collinsville. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Jessica (Chris) Kreider, Dr. Brandon J. Crivello DDS, Joshua (Octavia) Tickner, Katelin Tickner, Sarah Rynders (fiancé Michael Henthorn), Samantha Rynders, and Joseph Crivello, two great grandchildren; Caiden Kreider and Camden Kreider, and a sister, Ann G. (Larry) Haab of Decatur, IL. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild in infancy, Kelsey Crivello. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Alton. Father Jason Stone will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church or the Arthritis Foundation. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
