John Edward McConnell III, 68, passed away at 3:00 pm, Monday, December 30, 2013 at Blu Fountain Manor in Godfrey.
He was born in Alton, IL on June 6, 1945, the son of the late John E. and Margaret (Henkhaus) McConnell Jr.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa (August) Orsinelli of New Albany, OH and Mary (Nathan) Hough of Alton; three sons, Brad (Marlee) McConnell of Chicago, Daniel (Stasia) McConnell of South Bend, IN, and Brian (Julie) McConnell of Chicago; ten grandchildren, and two sisters, Pat (McConnell) Dobner of Los Gatos, CA and Michelle Singley of Godfrey.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial mass will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of mass at the church.
Memorials may be made to Wellspring Resources or to Marquette High School Scholarship Fund.
