Joe M. Neely, 78, passed away at 11:35am on Sunday, May 31, 2015, Eden Village in Glen Carbon, IL. He was born on August 5, 1936, in Kirkwood, MO, the son of the late L.C. and Pauline (Grooms) Neely. He married the former Judy A. Mosconi on May 10, 1958, and she proceeded him in death on May 11, 2008. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Adele and Jim Quale of Labadie, MO, Linda and Ken Heigert of Staunton, IL, four grandchildren: Phillip Lutterman, Mitchell Lutterman, Scott Turner and his wife, Candace and expected great grandson, Lisa Hemenover, and her husband, Kyle.

He was formerly employed at Southwestern Bell, which became AT&T for forty years prior to his retirement. He was a volunteer paramedic in Jefferson County, MO, and a volunteer for the Civil Air Patrol. He was an amateur Ham Radio operator, former gunsmith, and longtime Girl Scout Leader. He was very proud to serve in the United States Navy. Joe was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.

Memorials are suggested to Eden Village in Glen Carbon.
