Jill Ann Morgan, 81, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Alton Rehab & Nursing Center.
Born Jan. 4, 1935 in Hillsboro, Ill., she was the daughter of Chancey M. and Melburiene (Davidson) Titsworth.
Jill worked 27 years as a police Clerk for the Roxana Police Dept. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and served as a Sunday school teacher. She loved life, which showed by her laughter. She also loved animals, particularly her dogs.
She married Gene R. Morgan Aug. 1, 1954. He survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Jama (Kenny) McPeak of Roxana; a son, David Gene (Barbara) Morgan of Noblesville, Ind.; 5 grandchildren, Cassius, Jessica and Marissa Morgan, KaCee (Nick) Stewart, and Chase McPeak; one great grandchild, Caige Stewart; and a brother, Jack (Patty) Titsworth of Litchfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Cameron Morgan.
Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 16 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 9 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m. Rev. Frank Sparks will officiate.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church in Rosewood Heights.
