Janeece Hester

East Alton - Janeece Ray Hester, 56, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Christian North East Hospital in St. Louis, MO,

Born December 3, 1958 in Wichita, KA, she was a daughter of the late Harold D. and Dona B. (Dolezal) Fry.

She married David Allen Hester on November 21, 1987 in Bethalto. He survives.

Janeece worked in the Deli for Meehans Grocery Store in Bethalto and for Tom's Grocery Store in Brighton. When her mother became ill, she gave up her job so that she could take care for her.

Also surviving are a step-son, Christopher Hester of Roxana; one brother, Jerry and Phyllis Fry of Little Rock, Ark.; sisters-in-law, Geneva and Sonny Downing of Roxana, Shirley and Jim Gray of Collinsville; brother-in-law, Carl and Sheila Hester of Sandoval and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. service time, Sunday November 22, 2015 at Gray Funeral Home in Wood River. Officiating will be Pastor Larry Cook and Pastor Gary Cook.

Burial will be private.

Memorials may be designated to the family.
