Hilda Tiek, 87, passed away at 7:30 am, Saturday October 17, 2015 at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Moro on August 23, 1928 the daughter of the late Robert and Minnie (Zoelzer) Henke.
On June 4, 1949, she married the late Delmar Edward Tiek at Midway Evangelical and Reformed Church.
She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother with her family being the most important thing in her life. She enjoyed volunteering her time at church, playing bingo, and cards with many friends and family. She was a lifetime member of St. Johns U.C.C. at Midway.
She is survived by a daughter Marshia (Jerry) Poole of Bunker Hill; two sons Les (Sue) Tiek of Edwardsville and Steve (Nancy) Tiek of Bethalto; six grandchildren Jerilyn (Bart) Hassard, Jaime (Matt) Jedlicka, Ryan (Mindy) Tiek, Ashleigh (Rob) Cornwell, Christina Tiek, and Deanna Tiek; nine great grand children Brylie and Grace Hassard, Lily and Lucas Jedlicka, Ethan, Myron, and Emma Tiek, and Alaina and Chloe Cornwell; a brother Homer (Susan) Henke .
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Henke.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm Wednesday October 21, 2015 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, IL.
Funeral service will be at 10 am Thursday October 22, 2015 at St. Johns U.C.C. with Pastor Lori Schafer officiating.
Burial will follow at Roselawn.
