Obituary for Georgia R. Daniels
The family of Georgia Daniels regretfully announce the passing of their beloved mother and sister on February 27, 2016 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL, following a brief illness. Georgia Daniels was born on March 21, 1945 in Shaw, MS, but raised in Osceola, AR, where she was a three-sport athlete and honor student at Rosenwald High School. She moved to Chicago where she attended college for two years before marrying Galloway Daniels in 1965. To this union, six children were born. She retired to Edwardsville, IL in 2004.
She leaves to mourn four daughters: Bridgette Thomas, Sharri Hall (Amieul), Lynette Johnson (Charles), Yvonne Walls (Devan); two sons: Galloway Daniels II and Eric Daniels (Traci); one sister, Lillie Price of Ontario, CA; three brothers, Samuel Scott, Jr. (Joyce) of Little Rock, AR, Alex Scott (Princilla) of Osceola, AR, and Allen Scott (Nakitha) of Marion, AR along with a host of grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Scott, Sr., her mother, Jimmie Lee Scott, and two brothers, Danny Scott and Mickey Scott.
Memorial services will be held on March 2, 2016 at 2pm at: Anchored in Truth Ministries, 510 Garfield Ave, Edwardsville, IL 62025,(618) 692-4226. Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
