Earl J. Meek, age 76, of Moro, Illinois formerly of Edwardsville died at 6:02 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2016, at Liberty Village in Maryville. Earl was a retired custodian for Edwardsville School District #7.
He was born December 25, 1939, in Alton, Illinois the son of the late Leonard & Selma (Bade) Meek. Earl is survived by 2 sons, Darrell Meek & wife Sara of Collinsville and Eric Meek & wife Sondra of Beaufort, South Carolina; 1 daughter, Dana Wilson & husband Christopher of Edwardsville; 6 grandchildren, Brian Horne, Samantha, Amanda , Breanna, Allyson , and Dylan Meek; and 1 sister, Ruth Balsley of St. Louis, MO.
A memorial visitation will be held at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home from 4 to 7 pm Thursday, February 11, 2016.Following cremation a private interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Glen Carbon. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
