Dorothy M Leppert, age 79, passed away at 2:59 pm Wednesday September 17, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton.
She was born on July 14, 1935 in St. Charles, MO, the daughter of Edward & Bertha (Schmidt) Mennemeier.
She married Eugene “Gene” Leppert in Dubuque, IA in July 1956 and he preceded her in death on April 6, 2013.
She loved her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren, and enjoyed gardening, flowers and baking cookies.
She is survived by three daughters and spouses Linda (Tim) Wunderlich of Godfrey, Peggy (Bob) Wegiel of Warwick, RI, Penny Leppert of West Providence, RI, three sons and spouses Michael (Linda Ann) Leppert of Buckeye, AZ, Kenneth (Dawn) Leppert of St. Louis County, Larry Leppert of West Alton, MO, twenty grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; a brother and sister-law, George & Thelma Mennemeier of West Alton, a sister and brother-in-law, Mary & Bob Splender of Belize, Honduras and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Mennemeier of West Alton.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Frank Mennemeier
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 pm Sunday September 21, 2014 at Staten Fine Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday September 22, 2014 with Pastor Matthew Roeglin officiating.
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Bethalto.
