Chance William Phillips, 22, of Cottage Hills, IL, died Mon. Aug. 5, 2014 in Alton, IL from injuries sustained in an auto accident.
He was born July 5, 1992 in Alton to Rebecca “Becky” (Lansdon) Phillips of Cottage Hills and Kevin E. Phillips of South Roxana, IL.
Chance was a 2010 Civic Memorial graduate and went on to become a trained diesel mechanic, working for Beelman trucking and most recently Robert “Bob” Sanders Waste Systems.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by: a daughter, Charleigh Nicole Phillips and her mother and Chance’s friend, Shannon Ray, of Bethalto, 4 brothers, Kevin Ryan (Rebecca) Louque of Batchtown, IL, Chad Allen Phillips, Chase Leslie Eugene Phillips and Chayton Michael Phillips, all of Cottage Hills, 6 sisters, Krystal Nicole Phillips of Cottage Hills, Meranda Lyn Phillips of Bethalto, Chelsea Michelle Burcham of New Douglas, IL, Merissa Jean Phillips, Meriah Michelle Phillips and Merkenna Marie Phillips, all of Cottage Hills , grandparents, Ed & Donna Phillips of Cottage Hills and Martha Lansdon of Fosterburg, IL and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandfather, John Lansdson.
Memorial visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until time of services at 7:00 p.m. Fri. Aug. 8, 2014 at Meadowbrook 1st Assembly of God with Pastor Alta Vaughn officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
