Carolyn Sue Boswell, 85, died at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Eunice Smith Nursing Home in Alton. Born November 10, 1929 in Milburn, KY, she was the daughter of Ferris and Katie (Wilkerson) Tolbird. She retired as cafeteria manager for East Middle School after 20 years of service. On March 18, 1961 she married William F. Boswell. He preceded her in death on November 23, 1995.
Surviving are seven children, Susie Boswell of White Hall, Duane Boswell of Des Moines, IA, Jack Boswell (Gail) of Jefferson City, MO, Dale Boswell of Springfield, IL, Jim Boswell of Normal, IL, Jeanie Crown of Aurora, IL, and Ron Boswell of Alton. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Ann and a brother Jerry Tolbird.
Visitation will be Friday, February 13, 2015 for immediate family at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY where funeral services will be Saturday, February 14, 2015. Burial will be at Milburn Cemetery in Milburn, KY.
