Diana (Wimberly) Watt, 71, of Shipman, IL, died Fri. Dec. 19, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born Feb. 13, 1943 in Alton, IL to the late Terry “Toad” Norovil & Mary Bell (Jarvis) Wimberly.
Diana married Hubert E. Watt in Godfrey in 1985 and he survives in Shipman.
She retired from Olin Corp in 2001 after 32 years, most of her time being spent in the Brass Mill as a Quality Control Supervisor.
In addition to her husband, Hubert, she is survived by: a son, Michael Hettick of TX, 2 daughters, Monica Hettick of San Diego, CA and Jessie & Danny Hicks of Lakeland, FL and 2 step-sons, Stephen Eugene Watt of Brighton, IL and Robert Eric (Dorathy) Watt of Rosewood Heights, IL, 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Nancy File of Wentzville, MO and Mary Jo (John) Kennedy of Godfrey, IL also a very close companion, “Lady Bug”, her yellow lab.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by: a step-son, Anthony Watt and a great-grandson, Cody Clark.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Fri. Dec. 26, 2014 at Paynic Home for Funerals where services will be at 10:00 a.m. Sat. Dec. 27, 2014. Burial will follow at Grimes Neely Cemetery in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be made to the Macoupin County Animal Shelter.
