Donna M. VanPreter, 74, passed away at 5:35 am on Wednesday November 26, 2014 at home.
She was born in Carrolton, IL in November of 1940, the daughter of Floyd and Marie Eby.
Donna married Charles A. VanPreter in 1957 in Alton. He preceded her in death on August 13, 1985
She is survived by two sons, Charles “Hawk” VanPreter of East Alton, and Mike and his wife Jenny VanPreter of Illinois; a daughter, Constance Rene Barber of Ohio; two granddaughters, Christina Lynn VanPreter, and Brittany Barber.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd Earl Eby, and Ivan Eby.
Visitation will be on Monday December 1, 2014 from 9 am until time of service at 11 am at Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton, with Pastor Charles West officiating.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made The Alzheimer’s Association.
