Jack Landers, 86, passed away 8 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014 at his residence.
Born in Canalou, MO on August 16, 1928, he was the son of Abraham P. and Mary (Scott) Landers.
He had been employed as Supervisor in the forming department of Owens-IL Glass for 32 years before retiring. He the worked in maintenance for Millers Mutual Insurance.
On September 14, 1948 in Piggott, Ark., he married the former Phyllis Ling. She survives.
Surviving also are a son, Greg (Lisa) Landers of Alton; two grandchildren, Sasha and Shea Landers; a brother, Rob Landers of Canalou, MO; and four sisters, Louise "Tass" Thrower of Cahokia, Helen Lowery of Atlanta, GA, Leatha Jones of Sikeston, MO, Roberta "Dutch" (Billy) Nipper of Chatham, Miss.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. Saturday, November 22 at the Bethalto Church of God. Pastor Bill Woodruff will officiate.
Burial will follow in Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to Bethalto Church of God, where he was a member or the American Liver Foundation.
