Michael Klein

Dateline:  AltonMichael Joseph Klein, 36, passed away at 3:25 pm on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Alton Memorial Hospital.  He was born in Alton, IL on February 2, 1977, the son of Ronald and Norma (Ryan) Klein.He was an Aviation Mechanic for Boeing. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years, stationed in San Diego. He loved riding motorcycles of all kinds, working on planes and doing body work on cars, some of which have been featured in several magazines. He also enjoyed the beach.   In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancée, Mindy Shelton of Brighton; one step-son, James Shelton of Brighton; one brother, Samuel Klein of Myrtle Beach, SC; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his dog, Dixie.Visitation will be from 4 pm until a celebration of life is held at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.Burial will be at a later date.Military burial rites will be provided by the Alton VFW Post #1308.  Memorials may be made to James Shelton Benefit Fund at MidAmerica Bank.Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey is in charge of arrangements.Online condolences and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
