Jeanine A. "Jean" (Haselhorst) Weaver

Jeanine A. "Jean" (Haselhorst) Weaver, 75, passed away at 1pm on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at her residence.  She was born on January 17, 1938, in Brussels, Illinois the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Forstchneider) Pohlman.  She married Lester Haselhorst in October of 1960 in Brussels, Illinois and he preceded her in death in 1979.  She then married J. Glenn Weaver on November 8, 1986, in Rosewood Heights and he survives.  Other survivors include three sons and daughters in law: Tom and Tracy Haselhorst of Bethalto, John and Laurie Haselhorst of Brighton, Joe and Jennifer Haselhorst of Bethalto, one daughter and son in law: Barb and Dave Koss of South Elgin, Illinois, four step sons and their wives: Danny and Debbie Weaver of Wood River, Lon and Michele Weaver of Wood River, Chris and Marianne Weaver of Switzerland, Claude and Tammy Weaver of Wheaton, Illinois, three step daughters and their husbands: Nancee and Kelly Bury of St. Charles, Illinois, Anna and Max Ellis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Dee Sido of East Alton, twenty five grandchildren: Jennifer Haselhorst, Eric Haselhorst, Emma Haselhorst, Ellen Haselhorst, Brittany Koss, Katie Koss, Sami Koss, Kaitlyn Haselhorst, Brayden Haselhorst, Kynleigh Haselhorst, Ryan Bury, Chad Bury, Scott Ellis, Ginger Tanner, Matthew Weaver, Andrew Weaver, Beth Richards, Ben Weaver, Luke Weaver, Joe Weaver, Jessica Sido, Katie Sido, Joe Sido, Sasache Weaver, Chainn Weaver, fourteen great grandchildren, three brothers and sisters in law: Frank and Dorothy Pohlman, Stan and Laraine Pohlman, Tom and Pennie Pohlman, three sisters in law: Edna Roth, Joyce Kirby, Mary Pohlman, and a brother in law: Gene Roth, a brother in law and his wife: Dick and Marilyn Karns, many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was formerly employed at Target in Alton for over 15 years prior to her retirement.  She was a member of Holy Angels Parish in Wood River.  She was a volunteer at St. Anthony's Hospital gift shop for many years.  Her greatest joy in life was gathering with her family and making memories with the ones that she loved. 

 

In addition to her parents and her first husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Kathy Haselhorst, five sisters: Amelia Springman, Ida Haselhorst, Rita Patterson, Laverne Roth, Esther Woods, and a brother: George Pohlman.

In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 2pm to 6pm on Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River with a prayer service at 1:30pm on Sunday at the funeral home.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Monday, March 18, 2013, at Holy Angels Parish in Wood River.  Father James Flach will be the celebrant.  Burial will follow at Woodland Hill Cemetery in East Alton.

Memorials are suggested to St. Anthony's Foundation.
