Donald R. Flory, age 79, passed away at 4:23 pm Thursday January 31, 2013 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He was born on May 18, 1933 in Lancaster, PA, the son of Paul and Margaret Flory.
Donald is survived by his wife Flo Jean (Clark) whom he married on May 7, 1955 in Lancaster, PA.
Donald was a truck driver for Piasa Motor Fuel for over 25 years. He enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.
He is survived by two sons: Donald R. Flory (Pam Keck) of Edwardsville, Douglas E. Flory (Jenni Bigger) of Swansea, IL, and a daughter: Pamela J. Lambie (David) of Godfrey, IL., a sister: Jean Dangro, five grandchildren and their spouses: Hannah and Zach Allison, Samuel Flory, Devon and Matthew Drag, Jessica and Jeremy Linley, Joshua Lambie (Katie), two great grandchildren: Owen and Cooper Linley.
Memorial Visitation will be from 2 till time of service at 4 pm, Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, IL.
Memorials may be directed to the Siteman Cancer Center or Charity of One’s Choice.
