Jane D. Taylor, age 73, passed away at 9:10 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born on October 4, 1939 in Alton, IL, the daughter of the late Charles and Ida (Dallmeyer) McDonald.
She married Paul Taylor on June 6, 1957. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2008.
Jane was employed at Owen Glass Company for 14 years and Olin Corporation for 27 years. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting but mostly loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters and their spouses: Mauri Taylor and her partner Dana Hollis of Alton, Melissa and David Pugh of E. Alton, and Christina and Eric Bratzler of Collinsville, four grandchildren: Joshua, Emily, Alexander Pugh and Mia Bratzler, one brother: John McDonald of Tampa, FL.
In addition to her Parents and Husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Leah Morten, and one brother, James McDonald.
A memorial visitation will be from 2 pm until time of service at 3 pm, Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton. Father John Luong O.M.V. of St. Mary’s will be the celebrant.
Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey.
Memorial may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Hope Animal Rescue in Alton, IL.
