James Kim Sorensen, 61, passed away at 8:17 am Wednesday February 1, 2012 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He was born on April 13, 1950 in St. Louis, MO the son of James & Ann (Harris) Sorensen.
He married Roxanna Lofgren on November 28, 1969 in Springfield, IL. She Survives.
He was a founding partner of YTB Travel and was a longtime member of Enjoy Church in Alton and spent many years as a professional bowler. He loved fishing, golfing, watching his grandchildren play softball and hockey and had a love for all things technology.
He is survived by his wife, Roxanna Sorensen, three children and spouses, Shelly & Rob Coppersmith of Edwardsville, Jamie Sorensen of Moro, Ember & Joel Ruf of Edwardsville; six grandchildren, Aly and Trip Sorensen, Eryn & Eden Coppersmith, and Jackson & Spencer Ruf; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Dan & Lezlie Landis of Cincinnati, OH and Bill Sorensen of Northville, MI and many nieces and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation and burial will be private.
Memorial services will be held at 3 pm Monday February 6, 2012 at Enjoy Church, 3303 Homer Adams Parkway, Alton, IL.
