Sue Dial, age 77, passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Saturday January 28, 2012, at her residence with her husband and family by her side.
She was born on April 25, 1934 in East Alton the daughter of the late Roshier and Lorene (Toney) Clinton.
Sue was a legal secretary in her early years and then a homemaker. She loved gardening in her flower garden, golf and playing cards, but her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She married Emery N. Dial on June 15, 1957 in East Alton and he survives.
She is survived by her husband Emery, two daughters and their husbands Cindy (Tim) Geil of Allen, TX, Cheri (Jim) Hartsock of Bethalto, IL, four grandchildren and their spouses Jared (Danielle) Hartsock, Brian (Katrina) Hartsock, Erin (Graham) Musgrove, Kelli Geil, three great-grandchildren Gabrielle, Ava and Cooper Hartsock and one brother Bob (Dixie) Clinton of Normal, IL.
Her parents preceded Sue in death.
Visitation will be Tuesday January 31, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Elias Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey. Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday February 1, 2012 at Heartland Baptist Church in Alton.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
