Tony Snyder

Tony Snyder, born Anthony Bruce Snyder passed away Sunday January 15, 2012 at 9:41 p.m at home with his family by his side.

He was born in Oakland, CA on May 26th 1959 to the late James A. and Late Sharon Kaye Snyder. He grew up in Florida, South Carolina, Louisiana, Illinois and then later moving to Washington State. He resided in Olympia, Wenatchee, Soap Lake and permanently stayed in George while working in construction for 30 years. He was a huge Rock'n' Roll fan- especially Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. He enjoyed camping, fishing and everything related to the great outdoors as long he was with his wife. He was an avid collector of Oakland Raiders gear, Rainier beer memorabilia and Native American artifacts. He was a friendly man who made friends in every bar he walked into. But most importantly, he was a family man. He did anything and everything for his grandkids. He married his long-time partner Kathy Mauk after 27 years of courtship on August 13, 2011.

He is survived by his wife Kathy, son Layden James Snyder, three daughters Cody Shay Snyder, Leia Kateri Davis  and Joelle Jean Mauk , three grandsons, one granddaughter. His brothers Greg Snyder of Alton and Jeff Snyder of Godfrey.  He had numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Kelly Michelle Snyder Dooley.

His ashes will be spread in the Redwood Forest this summer by his loved ones and his memorial service is pending due to weather conditions.
