Judith A. Weigel, 68, died at 2:08 p.m. Sunday, January 1, 2012 at her home in Godfrey. Born April 24, 1943 in Delhi, IL, she was the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Chappell) Weigel.
She worked in the selecting department at Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Alton. Surviving is a son, Ken Weigel of Delhi, two grandchildren, her twin brother, Jerry Weigel of Godfrey, two sisters, Barbara Meyer of Delhi, and Marcella (Joseph) Hornsey of Godfrey, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Weigel, a brother, Melvin Weigel and a sister, Wilma Calame.
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2011 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
