Deanna Mae (Mottaz) Miller, 64 formerly of Jerseyville, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Metropolitan Hospice in Marietta, GA.
She was born January 16, 1947, in Alton, IL, the daughter of Paul and Tessie (Hetzel) Mottaz.
A 1965 graduate of Jersey Community High School, she married Larry Miller on April 10, 1995. .
She was a graduate with a B.S. in English from SIUE, Licensed Real Estate Agent in GA, and a Lifetime Top Sales Professional. She started her career with American Express in St. Louis, MO and was promoted and assigned to various locations throughout the US and won many awards with them. She also worked with BellSouth as a Sales Executive ad achieved top sales. The last few years of her life was spent as entrepreneur with ebay and had her own ebay store and was quite successful.
For recreation she was highly dedicated in tennis for many years in the Atlanta area with ALTA and USTA Organizations. She won various awards but was most proud of winning her city championship in her division with ALTA in 2010.
Deanna also loved to travel and traveled with her husband Larry throughout the world.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Miller, Canton; mother, Tessie Mottaz of Jerseyville, brother, Lonnie Mottaz and his wife Anne of Jerseyville, sister, Debbie Mottaz and her husband Alan Masterson of Fosterburg, along with nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Mottaz and her grandparents Dr William and May Mottaz and Virgil and Maude Hetzel.
Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m. on Friday, November 4, at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville. Services will be held at 10 a.m. at the funeral home on Saturday, November 5, with Bonnie Hetzel officiating, with burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be given made to the Salvation Army.
