Diane Cardwell, 57, went to join her husband, David Schneider, 8:19 am Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Alton Nursing & Rehab.
She was born on November 6, 1953 in Alton, IL the daughter of Betty Lovell Cardwell.
She worked as a cook at The Fountains 4 Retirement Community for several years.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Cardwell of East Alton; one daughter and son-in-law, Tina & Steve Balicki of Wood River; one son and daughter-in-law, John & Elisha Schneider of Wood River; six grandchildren, David Balicki, Jessica, Brandon, Taylor, Laura and David Schnieder; three sisters, Paula Cardwell of Roxana, Tammy (Kevin) Crump of Jerseyville, and Bonnie Stassi of East Alton; two nieces, Crystal (Rick) Stassi-Ridenhour and Trisha Crump; one nephew, Travis Huck and many other family & friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Viola Swafford and an uncle Russell Lovell.
Visitation will be from 10 am until time of memorial services at 12 noon Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
Inurnment will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in Godfrey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
