Walter L. Lintz Jr., age 78, passed away at 11:25 pm Sunday, August 7, 2011 at his home with his family and extended family by his side.
He was born on September 4, 1932 in Alton, the son of the late and Ruby (Blosser) and Walter L. Lintz Sr.
Walter married Wilma N. Stricklin on March 7, 1953 in Mt Vernon, Il. She survives.
He worked at Laclede Steel in the Accounting and scheduling department. His greatest joy was hunting and fishing with his family and his two buddies, Odie & LD.
He is survived by his wife and one daughter and her spouse; Kathy and Chris Constantino of Rosewood Heights, and one son and his spouse; Kevin and Sharon Lintz, two grandsons; Shawn Lintz and his significant other Jennifer Maguire of Alton, and Mike Constantino of Alton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson; Kevin James Lintz.
Per his wishes cremation rites where accorded
Graveside services will be at 10 am, Friday, August 12, 2011 at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens, in Bethalto, IL. The Rev. Bob Harris will officiate.
Memorials may be directed to Spinal Muscular Atrophy, or Hospice of your choice.
