She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Waller who died in 1970, her second husband Joseph Hornsey who died in 1992, her parents, two sisters, Ellen Lamm and Hannelore Cohn and her brother, Ernst Cohn.

She is survived by her daughter, Sonia (David) Stalker of Alton; her son, Barry Waller of Alton, 6 grandchildren- Susan (Patrick) Conroy of Labadie, MO; Laurie (Curtis) Webber of Austin, TX; David (Danielle)Armstrong of Alton; Sarah (Jeffrey) Johnson of Watertown, MN; Carrie Waller of St. Louis, MO; Benjamin Waller of Alton, IL; and 8 great-grandchildren- Brianna Webber, Megan Webber, Colten Conroy, Jack Conroy, Rachel Conroy, Bailey Plummer, Tyler Johnson, and Jacob Johnson.

Margot dearly loved her family, was a loyal friend, and never failed to lend a helping hand to a stranger in need.  She loved her music, her cats, her home and especially her kitchen where she cooked many a delicious meal.  No one ever left her kitchen hungry.  She was true renaissance woman, taught herself carpentry, wrote wonderful children's stories for her family, and became the first female American Family Insurance agent- operating the agency for 26 years after Herbert's death.  She was an amazing woman who survived many hardships in her life with incredible strength - including Nazi Germany with the loss of most of her family and the blitz in London during World War II.  She never lost her sense of humor or her zest for life.  She will forever be remembered for her creativity, her laughter, her stories, and how much fun it was to visit G-ma.  She will forever be missed.
