Sandra Sue Korte, age 68, passed away at 11:05 am, Tuesday April 19, 2011, at her residence.
She was born in Alton, on June 26, 1942, the daughter of the late Matthew and Gladys (Corbin) Wilson.
Sandra married William “Butch” Korte, he preceded her in death.
She was formerly employed at Famous & Barr as a sales clerk, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by a sister; JoAnn and her spouse James Martin of Godfrey, one niece; Cindy Johnson of Alton, a great nephew; Nicholas Sternfeld of Godfrey, four step- brothers; Ronald McRaven, Jerry McRaven, Jay McRaven and Dennis McRaven all of MO.
Sandra was preceded in death by a son; William Wright Lewis, her father; Matthew Wilson and her mother; Gladys Wilson McRaven and a step-father; Glenn McRaven.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, on Thursday April 21, 2010 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, IL. Funeral Services will be at 10 am, on Friday, April 22, 2010 at the Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, IL.
